In collaboration with Maria and Santos Leyva, a major research focus of mine over the past 15 years has been the documentation, description and analysis of the Hiaki language. Hiaki is also known as Yaqui, Yoeme and Hiaki; it is a Uto-Aztecan language spoken in Sonora, Mexico and in Arizona and California.
